Hello, my name is Alexis, and I’m barely 26 years old. My dream?

To become the French master mole catcher.

I know that in 2024, it might not seem like a growth profession, but what I truly dreamed of doing was living outdoors, talking to people, seeing wide-open spaces, and pursuing a profession deeply rooted in tradition.

You know, at my age, many of us wonder if our future lies within the lines of an Excel spreadsheet, behind a computer, in the middle of a sterile office.

For me, this company isn’t just about forging a new path; it represents my future and that of the family I aspire to build. I yearned to reconnect with the tangible world, and I’m creating that possibility through QuickTaupe.

My grandfather was a farmer in Anjou, deep in the countryside; he effectively trapped moles in his garden. My father continued his methods, also trapping moles alongside his main work, this time in the Rambouillet region. As for me, I chose to dedicate my life to mole catching.

I learned everything, read everything, and trained relentlessly, drawing upon the proven methods of my grandfather and father, and those of ancestral mole trappers, until I was able to pass on the tradition as a master chef would to their apprentice.

 

My father always taught me to observe nature, to breathe the pure country air. When I was 6 years old, he would take me to the fields to watch roe deer at dusk or to call foxes by whistling with a blade of grass in the fields near Château-Gontier.

I spent my last 6 years living like a hamster behind a pixel-filled screen. Today I’m 26. That life is over for me. It no longer interests me; it neither inspires nor excites me. For nothing in the world do I want to go back to that.

I want this company to flourish; I will nurture it step by step, and I hope to pass it on to my children when my time comes to join the heavens.

I know that a robust company, built on strong customer relationships and excellent service, will allow me to live for many years and perhaps even leave a solid legacy for my children.

I pour all my heart, all my passion, and all my will into this company. I dedicate myself to it, striving to create comprehensive, practical, concrete products and to build a genuine relationship with you.

I will always respond to your messages myself, even if one day I end up hiring employees. I want to have this direct relationship with you, to understand your needs, improve my services, and help you to the best of my ability.

So yes, QuickTaupe’s story isn’t a century old, but the profession of mole catching is, and it’s deeply rooted in French history thanks to André Le Nôtre, the esteemed gardener who effectively trapped moles at the Palace of Versailles using the very same traditional traps I provide on the website.

So, let’s perpetuate this tradition!

And long live professions that are deeply rooted, close to reality, to pure and unadulterated nature as we cherish it, and far from the relentless innovations that disrupt every field each decade.

The profession of mole catching has never changed, and it won’t change with the arrival of new artificial intelligence. Nature responds to other, more down-to-earth rules.
