Poison for Moles: Why it doesn’t work and what solution actually does ?

If you’ve landed on this page, it’s because you’re tired of moles wreaking havoc on your yard and you’re looking for a way to poison them.

Unfortunately, we’re here to explain why mole poison is actually the worst possible solution for getting rid of them. While this method works for pests like rats and mice, it is completely ineffective against moles.

We’re exhausted from hearing all the myths and so-called “miracle” solutions for mole removal.

Please, don’t fall for these simple traps. Anyone selling poison to combat moles has zero knowledge of the animal, which is why they’ll sell you a product that gives you zero results. You can’t just become a professional mole catcher overnight.

The list of Mole Poisons

There used to be a wide variety of mole poisons available on the market, but due to the dangerous ingredients used in their manufacturing, very few are still in circulation today.

One example was Racan Taupicide, which required you to coat earthworms with the poison and then place them inside the moles’ tunnels. However, this product is now banned from sale (and it was likely the most promising poison, despite being very ineffective).

Another type, Rodenticide, is designed to attract moles and then kill them after they eat it. The claim is that after ingesting the poison, the moles will die painlessly within three days, deep inside their tunnels, without their fellow moles noticing. The truth is, a dead mole in a tunnel will immediately raise suspicion. The other moles will simply dig new tunnels to avoid the “crime scene,” leaving you with even more molehills.

Note: In the next section, we’ll dive into the science of why this poison is completely useless and simply cannot work for moles.

You might find some dubious websites selling mole poisons from places like Spain, but they all lead back to the same conclusion: mole poisons are both illegal in France and ineffective.

1.Why Mole Poisons Fail ?

The reason is simple and scientifically proven: moles don’t eat inert matter.

The Racan poison we mentioned earlier was a clever attempt to get around this by poisoning earthworms, which moles do eat. The idea was to trick the mole with a seemingly live but poisoned worm.

But a mole’s sense of smell and hearing are incredibly sharp. It will immediately:

  • Detect that the poisoned earthworm is different from all the others.

  • Notice that its tunnel has been opened where the worms were placed.

When this happens, the mole will simply block the tunnel and dig a new one right next to it.

All mole poisons are based on a fundamental misunderstanding of this small burrowing animal. If a mole won’t eat inert matter, how could it possibly eat pellets? Yet, all other poisons are pellet-based!

These products are more likely to attract rats and mice, which are accustomed to eating grains and plants, but a mole will never touch them.

As a result, you’ll get zero results from using poison, and you’ll still have a multitude of molehills all over your lawn.

2.The Disadvantages of Mole Poisons

We’ve already touched on most of these, but here’s a full list of the problems with using mole poison:

  • They don’t work.
  • They are dangerous to other animals.
  • All rodenticides are now banned in France.
  • They caused suffering to the animals that ingested them.
  • They are dangerous for children to handle.
  • They can sometimes pollute the soil.
  • …and so on.

As you can see, mole poison is absolutely not a viable solution for killing moles. Don’t waste your time or money on these “miracle” products. You won’t get rid of moles with some magic product you simply drop into a tunnel—not unless you truly understand the animal.

3.Effective Solutions for Mole Removal

There are many other ways to deal with a mole problem. You have three main options:

  1. Repel them with deterrents.
  2. Catch them alive with traps.
  3. Kill them with other types of traps.

However, moles are a lot like rats or mice. Even if you manage to repel them or catch them alive, they will always return if they’ve been on your property before.

We could discuss repellents in this article, but we’ve already explored solar mole repellents—a solution that is just as ineffective as poison.

The best way to get rid of moles permanently is always to eliminate them. But here, too, there are two approaches: the one taken by thoughtless killers, and the one used by true mole catchers who know how to kill a mole without making it suffer. In fact, that’s the only method we recommend.

Moles live in a vast network of tunnels and underground burrows that can stretch for hundreds of meters beneath your feet.

To effectively kill them and prevent them from ever coming back, you need the same professional knowledge that has been passed down for centuries, ever since Le Nôtre, the gardener to King Louis XIV.

This is the very same expertise we use with our clients at QuickTaupe. It’s the knowledge you absolutely need for a definitive solution to your mole problem.

4.Introducing the QuickTaupe Mole Elimination Kit

We share this expertise through our training, which we provide to municipalities, gardeners, and town halls who need to put an end to their mole issues. We offer this training both in-person and through a comprehensive kit available on our website.

This solution is more effective than any mole poison, and our guarantee might seem incredible, but it’s this strong: If our kit and training don’t allow you to get rid of your moles, we will work with you, providing 100% free remote advice and assistance for an entire year, all at our expense.

Our entire anti-mole method is based on proven, time-tested knowledge passed down from father to son for centuries.

Our training and kit offer you:

  • A solution to get rid of moles in any situation, even if you have 15 or 30 of them, and even if you have zero experience.
  • A lesson on how to trap moles without making them suffer, using an eco-friendly, accessible, and fast method.
  • A method that works today and will still work in 20 or 30 years—it’s a lifetime guarantee.
  • A kit with all the necessary equipment to trap every mole destroying your property.
  • Our step-by-step method book, with photos for every stage, to guide you through the process as if we were right there with you.
  • One year of remote follow-up from a QuickTaupe mole-catching expert.
  • The ability to send us photos and videos of your property for an entire year to receive personalized advice tailored to your situation, saving you valuable time.
  • Access to a support group with other participants in our anti-mole program.
  • …and much more.

We don’t sell dozens of different solutions for moles, and we certainly don’t sell ineffective ones. If a store tries to sell you mole poison, a quick search will show you that they have never tested the product themselves.

We don’t have any partnerships preventing us from telling the truth about these “solutions,” so we have no interest in selling you something that doesn’t work. We’d go out of business if we did.

And it would make no sense to offer such a strong guarantee if our solution didn’t actually work.

In short:

  • Our solution is radical.
  • Our solution is accessible.
  • Our solution is safe.

Are you wondering if other people have tried it? Are you thinking you should go with our QuickTaupe solution instead of buying mole poison? I’ll let these testimonials speak for themselves.

We don’t actually need you to buy our program or to trust us—we already have a community of people who do. But please, trust us on this one thing: you are just wasting your time and money on mole poison. It doesn’t work, and it never has.
